"Kippford is a caravan/lodge park set into a leafy hillside. Relatively quiet park considering it looked full. My kids liked the caravan, the red squirrel, the playgrounds. We enjoyed days out on the local shell and sandy beaches, walking in the extensive forestry behind the site, visiting National Trusts and Historic Scotland properties, and on a hot day the river at the Otter picnic site. The site produces two free booklets on recommended local places to visit in surrounding areas, which were very useful. I plan to stay again. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone who enjoys the countryside and wants to be close to the coast. 06/06/2011 05:10:36"
