"Perfect place for nature lovers, dog owners and those looking for a peaceful break. For the active (or foolhardy!) there is the walk down the back road to Lynton and Lynmouth and return less than 4 miles as the crow flies but a 1000 ft plus climb up a tarmac road marked not suitable for motor vehicles due to its steepness, cheats can cut the climb in half though by using the cliff railway! The view from our cottage/chalet was to die for and the family dog had its own 5 acre field run around in. The walk to Watersmeet from the harbour is well worth it too and you will have earned the Devon Cream Tea at the National Trust cafe there when you arrive. The weekend short break couldn't be faulted, really -the sun even shone non stop. The owners are pleasant and welcoming without being obtrusive and clearly take pride in the place being resident on site, we shall be booking for a week next year which says it all really - now if only that sun could be guaranteed again .... 30/09/2010 04:19:02"

"Ideally placed for day trips to other areas of North Devon but equally good for a nice relaxing holiday. The views from the bungalows are outstanding and the facilities for dogs were first rate.
