Getting to and staying in the Vendee
The Vendee is on the west, Atlantic Coast, of France, below Brittany. If you take a ferry from Portsmouth to Cherbourg or Caen, it will take you about 6-7 hours to drive. Although this is further than the Brittany destinations, the pay off is in that the weather is better as you head further south.
