Air passengers to get a new champion

Good news for holiday travellers as the Transport Secretary has announced new Government plans for a new champion for air travellers when things go wrong with flights. Rail watchdog, Passenger Focus, will become responsible for upholding passengers rights.

In further good news for holiday travellers and a further rebuke to the Civil Aviation Authority, the minister Geoff Hoon said that the CAA has to put travellers interests first and do more to meet environmental obligations. Feedback from travellers has been that they want more toilets and baggage carousels and these are the issues the CAA will be expected to address.
