4 star holiday park close to sandy beach in Brittany: Chateau de Galinee at St Cast with mobile homes and tents
A perfect choice for a family holiday, Chateau de Galinee at St. Cast offers an attractive location with wide grassy pitches and a soft, sandy beach nearby. This is also a great area for walkers, with many coastal paths to discover.
Château de Galinée is a quiet, family-run ‘Castels’ parc offering a relaxed atmosphere, modern, well maintained facilities and above all a lovely air of spaciousness, with wide grassy pitches. As well as the play area, there are simply acres of space for the children to let off steam and an attractive, modern pool complex with superb water slides. Entertainment takes place during July and August in the bar and restaurant, which overlooks the superb indoor pool. Nearby you will find that the charming resort of St. Cast, with its soft sandy beach is ideal for soaking up the sun and there are many delightful coastal walks in the area. The pleasant towns of St. Malo and Dinan are also both within easy reach and well worth a visit.
Swimming pools
Chateau de Galinee has plenty to keep all the family entertained with 6 swimming pools, 2 of which are heated indoor pools, and there is a water chute and 2 water slides. There are sun loungers available so that the adults can catch the sun ray while keeping an eye on the children!
Park facilities
On the holiday park there is a restaurant for sit down dining and also a takeaway. There is also a shop. Both the restaurant and shop are open duting the summer season but close in September.
In the area
With its rich celtic culture, festivals abound here. Festival de la cite des Hortensias at Perros-Guirec, a 2 day International festival in the centre of town, 12th to 14th August; La Fete de la Morue in Binic from 5th to 8th May celebrates local fishing and the Festival des Ramparts in Dinan from 22nd to 23rd July features jousting knights in the heart of this fine medieval city.
Getting there
Fly drive is a convenient option for Brittany with regional airports at Brest, Dinard, Rennes and Nantes. Alternatively there are ferries that go from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth.
Accommodation
There is a great choice of mobile homes including 2 & 3 bedrooms, and some with decking, as well as some superb tent accommodation.
